THE RUNDOWN
The No. 1 DBU Women's Golf team won their first tournament of the fall season, capturing the team title at the DBU Classic with a commanding 10-under-par (566) performance over two rounds at Oakmont Country Club in Corinth, Texas.
Leading the charge was
Madison Ude, who earned her first career tournament victory in dominant fashion. Ude, a junior from Keller, Texas, carded a 9-under (135), storming past a field stacked with nine top-25 programs in the WGCA rankings. Her final round was nothing short of spectacular—highlighted by eight birdies, including a blistering run of four straight on holes 12-15 to secure medalist honors.
DBU entered Tuesday's final round with an eight-shot cushion over UT Tyler after a 4-under opening round. The Patriots were even sharper on day two, improving by two strokes to finish 10 shots clear of UT Tyler.
Freshman
Chloe Sirkin shined in her second career tournament, posting her first top-five finish at 2-under par. Junior
Ella Cheek continued her consistent play, finishing 10th for her 15th career top-10 showing, while
Gracie Grant added a 14th-place finish at 1-over par to round out DBU's strong team performance.
