No. 4-ranked DBU Women's Soccer stayed unbeaten on Wednesday night, extending their hot start with a 2-0 road win over UT Tyler at Citizens First Bank–Perkins Soccer Complex.
After a scoreless first half in which the Patriots controlled possession and limited UT Tyler to zero shots, DBU finally broke through in the 62nd minute when
Ashley Washburn slotted home her second goal of the season off a perfectly placed ball from
Chandler Wheat. Just nine minutes later, Wheat once again delivered, setting up freshman
Isabella Medina for her first career goal to double the lead.
The Patriots finished with a 12–6 edge in shots and locked down their fourth straight shutout, moving to 7-0 overall and 3-0 in Lone Star Conference play.
