THE RUNDOWN
DBU (14-5, 8-1 LSC) defeated St. Edward's (16-4, 5-4 LSC) 75-68 on Saturday afternoon, avenging its loss to the Hilltoppers from earlier this season.
Jackson McCabe and

McCabe sank the first basket of the game to ignite a 7-0 Patriot run immediately out of the gate.
SEU's Ryder Bradley opened the second half with five consecutive points, but DBU would reclaim the lead less than two minutes later. The Patriots held their advantage until Bradley drilled a pull-up jumper with ten minutes left to make it 54-54. The teams would exchange lead changes until a
Jackson McCabe layup gave the Patriots a 65-64 lead with five minutes left.
Trevor Frank would then drop six straight points to give DBU a 71-64 lead, and the Patriots would hold their advantage until the final buzzer.

BLAKE FLICKNER ON THIS AFTERNOON'S WIN
"Gritty road win today against an excellent ranked opponent. Justin, X, and Jacko were amazing on the glass. It was a game where points were hard to come from in the paint, but guys were able to find a way and then the lid came off in the second half a bit and some of our jump shots started to fall. Really proud of our team effort and the way we stuck together. This is a great, selfless group that understands that every game is different and it might be someone different that gets the opportunity to step up."
