Claire Conner has been tabbed as the Lone Star Conference Freshman of the Week, announced by the league office on Tuesday. Conner was a versatile piece of DBU's offensive and defensive attacks in a three-win week for the Patriots.
Â
The native of Weatherford, Texas, began the week with a nine-kill day at Texas A&M-Kingsville, hitting .421 while adding eight kills and a block in the Patriots' four-set win over the Javelinas. On Friday against Midwestern State, she contributed another five kills with three digs and two blocks before finishing with 14 kills and 15 digs for the week after helping DBU take down Lubbock Christian on Saturday.
Â
Conner earns the LSC Freshman of the Week award for the first time this season and is the first Patriot to claim the honor this year. She is the first Patriot to be named the LSC Freshman of the Week since
Aizlyn Dewberry,
Paityn Winters, and
Lauren Witte garnered the distinction in 2025.
Â
Conner and DBU return to action this week with their final road trip of the season. The Patriots head to Oklahoma Christian on Friday for a 6:00 p.m. game.
