Chayton Krauss,
Ben Tryon, and
Adam Berghult left the yard in the Patriots' comeback effort.

For the second time in the last three games, DBU's starter didn't make it out of the first inning.
Tate Hess made his second appearance as a Patriot and would retire the first seven batters he faced.

Trailing 6-0 entering the top of the third,
Cooper Neville and
Keaton Grady set the table for a four-run inning.
Jake Bennett drove in Neville with a single before
Ben Tryon lofted a sac fly to score Grady.
Chayton Krauss then blasted his first home run of the season to make it a 6-4 game.

Hess finally allowed his first baserunner of the season in the bottom of the fourth, as three consecutive singles brought home two runs for the Roadrunners.

Trailing 8-4, Grady and Bennett would respond by setting the table for
Ben Tryon's second home run of the year, a three-run shot, bringing the Patriots within one run.

UTSA would tack on two more runs in the bottom of the fifth, before adding another pair of runs in the sixth, taking a 12-7 lead.

Adam Berghult sent a 1-0 pitch over the left field fence to lead off the top of the eighth, shrinking the deficit to four.

After
