DBU STUNT (7-3, 4-0 LSC) wrapped up their weekend at The Burg Center by splitting Friday's and Saturday's contests. Factoring in their shutout win over St. Edward's on Thursday, the Patriots turned in a 2-1 record at the DBU Invitational.

DBU VS JESSUP
DBU: 20 | JESSUP: 31
Friday afternoon, STUNT fell to Jessup (6-1) in a high-energy, emotionally invested contest. Though they didn't win any of the four quarters, the Patriots were in the game until the very end. DBU went into the halftime break trailing 12-5, but had hit both routine sevens in the first two quarters. Jumps and tumbling brought forth the best frame for the Patriots on the scoreboard, scoring five points to Jessup's six. DBU would be outscored 13-10 in a competitive fourth quarter, a frame where the Patriots were able to build momentum, taking points from pyramid one and tumble seven specifically.

HEAD COACH CALLIE TAYLOR ON FRIDAY'S CONTEST
"Playing the number two seed can be intimidating, and though we didn't come out on top, the team stepped up in ways we hadn't seen yet. The energy throughout was high, and the team supported one another. Excited for tomorrow!"

DBU VS CAL POLY
DBU: 30 | CAL POLY: 24
The Patriots ended their weekend with a six-point win over Cal Poly (5-3). DBU jumped out to a lead in the first quarter, scoring a whopping eight points while playing routines one through four. The Patriots went into halftime leading 12-10, having gained momentum toward the end of the second quarter by winning pyramid seven. In the third quarter, DBU either won or tied every single point, winning tumbles seven and eight to close the quarter well. The Patriots outscored Cal Poly 13-12 in the fourth quarter and earned the point for the partner stunt on routine seven. Eclipsing 30 points for the third time this season, DBU was able to slap a bow on its seventh win of the season.
