THE RUNDOWN
No. 2 DBU showcased its dominance in a wire-to-wire victory at the Patriot Invitational in Carmel, California. Madison Ude claimed her third individual win of the academic year and her first of the spring season.

With three Patriots in the top three after the first two rounds, DBU pressed on to complete a 16-stroke win at Quail Lodge Golf Club. Madison Ude sat at the top of the leaderboard for essentially the entirety of the tournament, shooting 70-73-73 for a three-over par 216 to finish two shots ahead of second place. Tied in third after the first two rounds, Sidney Robertson and Ella Cheek stayed in the top 10, as Robertson carded a final-round 74 for a solo third result at six-over and Cheek registered a 77 to complete the two days at nine-over for a tie for 6th. Chloe Sirkin also made a charge, carding a team-best even-par 72 in the third round to move up 16 spots and tie for 19th at 15-over. Gracie Grant completed the scoring for the five starters with a 77 to share 19th with Sirkin.

Competing as an individual, Gaia Esparza matched her best round from Monday with a 76 on Tuesday to go 17-over for the tournament and take 24th. Presley Bolado also played as an individual, shooting a total of 23-over over the two days for a 45th-place finish.
