THE RUNDOWN
Saturday afternoon, DBU (29-22, 17-9 CUSA) defeated Western Kentucky (27-24, 12-14 CUSA) by a score of 5-3, forcing a rubber match on Sunday.
Ryan Borberg earned his first win of the season, allowing two earned runs while striking out five across 5.1 innings of work.
Chayton Krauss launched his second homer of the weekend in the sixth inning, a solo shot to lead-off the frame.

WKU's Gavin Perry and
Ryan Borberg both tossed quick, scoreless innings in the first, before the Hilltoppers scratched a run across in both the second and third innings.

Ben Tryon punched a two-out single to left field in the top of the fourth to break up a potential one-two-three inning. In the next at-bat,
Luke Pettitte laced a double to left-center, and Tryon was cut down at the plate to keep the score at 2-0.

The Patriots were able to break through and tie the game in the top of the fifth as
Dylan Schlaegel and
Cooper Neville led off the inning with base hits. Schlaegel came in to score on a
Dylan Cupp groundout, and Neville scored on a
Brooks Sartain double. After a one-two-three inning from Borberg, the score was tied 2-2 through five innings.

Luzarraga would toss 2.2 innings of scoreless baseball, allowing just three base runners throughout his outing.
