DBU has announced the hiring of Ray Kizzie as the new head coach of DBU Hockey, bringing a former Patriot back to his alma mater to lead the program into its next chapter.

Kizzie returns to DBU after building a diverse coaching career across both the men's and women's game. Most recently, he served as the head coach of the Salem State women's hockey program.

A former Patriot, Kizzie was a member of the DBU Hockey program during its formative years and served as team captain for three of his four seasons. Following his playing career at DBU, Kizzie began building an extensive coaching résumé that includes serving as an assistant coach at DBU, coaching junior hockey, leading club programs throughout the Dallas-Fort Worth area, and working with USA Hockey Developmental Camps in 2024 and 2025.

Throughout his coaching career, Kizzie has emphasized recruiting, player development, and building a strong team culture. His approach centers on developing student-athletes both on and off the ice while helping them grow as leaders, teammates, and individuals.

Kizzie's return to DBU brings his hockey career full circle, combining his experience as a former Patriot with a growing coaching résumé and a deep connection to the University. His vision for the program and commitment to student-athlete development will provide a strong foundation as DBU Hockey enters its next era.
