Biography
Kristen Tucker is the Athlete Spotlight of the Month for April. Kristen is a Sophomore from Rockwall, Texas, and a member of the Lady Patriot Golf Team.
In the 2008 Fall season, Kristen helped lead the Lady Patriots to a fifth place finish in the Oklahoma Intercollegiate Golf tournament hosted by Cameron University held at the Territory Golf Club in Duncan, Oklahoma, where she finished fifth individually. She had the low round on the first day of competition as she turned in a 73, then added a second round of 77 to finish with a total score of 150.
Kristen has had a successful 2008-09 season placing 29th in the DBU Classic held at the Links at Waterchase, 31st at the Lady Otter Invitational held at Bayonet/Blackhorse Golf Club in Monterey, California, and 26th at the Lady Rattler Roundup held the Republic Golf Club in San Antonio, Texas.
“Kristen is one of those athletes who gets its. She understands hard work and toughness without having to be told everyday. She is the player that every coach wishes he had a whole team of and she is the leader of the team on and off the course, and I am glad God placed her here at DBU because she is a huge blessing to be around everyday,” Head Coach Kenny Trapp said.
