Led the pitching staff with 16 starts and logged the second most innings with 83.2 … Posted a 4-4 record with a 4.84 ERA and 54 strikeouts … Earned his first win of the year after tossing six shutout innings, striking out a season-high eight batters, versus Mississippi Valley State on February 21 … Notched his second win of the year at Oral Roberts on March 9, surrendering two runs over six innings … Matched a season-high eight strikeouts over six innings of work versus Sam Houston State on March 15 …
Picked up his second win of the year scattering two runs over six innings against UT-San Antonio on April 27 … Threw a season-high seven shutout innings, striking out five, to earn the win at UT-Arlington on May 4 … Allowed one run over 5.1 innings versus UT-Arlington on May 22 in the WAC Tournament … Started the WAC Tournament Championship Game against UT-San Antonio and worked 4.1 innings, allowing two runs and striking out five on May 26.
 
2012 (FRESHMAN)
Had seventeen starts as a true freshman and compiled an 8-5 record with a 4.45 ERA ... Struck out 71 batters in 85 innings... First collegiate start came in the second game of the Opening Day doubleheader against Southeast Missouri... Threw five innings and allowed four hits and no runs to pick up first collegiate win... Went six innings in next start at Rice and allowed only two runs on five hits... Beat Texas A&M Corpus-Christi with sixth innings and eight strikeouts... Threw a nine-inning complete game shutout
against Houston Baptist on March 9, striking out seven... Threw six complete scoreless innings against Charlotte in his next start on March 15 and then threw a scoreless inning against Louisiana Tech on March 22 to run scoreless inning streak to 16 innings... Threw 5.2 in that Tech game, giving up two runs and striking out ten to record his first double-digit strikeout game of his career... Shutout Prairie View A&M for six innings on April 6 by allowing only one hit in 11-0 win... Threw seven innings of scoreless baseball against UT-Arlington on the road to win 3-0... Made two starts in the NCAA Waco Regional.
