12 starts … 61 innings on the mound were the third most on the team … Held opponents to a
.236 batting average, the third lowest on the staff … Made his debut in a Patriot uniform when
he came on in relief versus Creighton on February 16 … Moved to the mid-week starter role on
March 5 against Texas Southern and tossed five shutout innings, while striking out a
season-high eight batters … Earned his first win of the season in his next start at
Stephen F. Austin on March 12, allowing just one run in 5.2 innings … Threw one inning of
scoreless relief at Texas A&M on March 19 … Made his first start in the weekend rotation with
four shutout innings at San Jose State on March 24 … Went 5.2 innings on the hill, allowing
two earned runs and picked up six strikeouts to earn the win at CSU Bakersfield on April 21
… Collected his fourth win of the year after giving up just one run in five innings at UT-Arlington
on May 5 … Tossed a season-high eight shutout innings, surrendering just three hits and
struck out six in a win over Louisiana Tech on May 12.
