2007 graduate of Canton High School in Canton, Texas… Played for Head Coach Jeff Priest… 4-time All-District selection…Selected as District MVP after his senior season… 2007 All-State 1st Team.

Collegiate Summer Baseball
Spent 2008 in the Dallas Amateur Baseball Association… In 2009, played with the Dodge City A’s alongside teammates Landon Anderson and Michael LaCourse.

2008 Patriots
Had his first collegiate appearance against McNeese State on the mound pitching one-third of an inning at home…Also threw at Memphis giving up no runs on one hit and one strikeout… Threw two-thirds of an inning against TCU at Dr. Pepper Ballpark in Frisco… Saw one inning at Northern Colorado striking out one… First collegiate at-bat came against Stephen F. Austin on March 4th…First career hit came against Houston Baptist on a single to left field… Also singled and picked up first collegiate RBI later in that same inning… Picked up another hit and RBI at Louisiana Monroe on April 9th.

2009 Patriots
Saw time in 12 games as a position player and had 4 appearances on the mound for the Patriots… Picked up first RBI of the season as a pinch hitter against Binghamton as part of a 15-4 victory… Started at DH and collected his first hit of the season against Siena on February 26… First mound appearance came in a scoreless 9th inning at home against Central Arkansas… Threw a perfect inning against Minnesota at home on March 19… Singled and recorded a sac fly as part of a 2 RBI day against Central Arkansas on the road.
