Graduated from Mullen High School…Played for Head Coach Tony Schenbeck… Named 1st Team All Conference and All-State Honorable Mention during his senior year.
Collegiate Summer Baseball
Spent 2007 in the Hawaii Collegiate Baseball League where he was named an All-Star… Played in the Alaska Collegiate Baseball League in 2008 with the AIA Fire… The Fire are owned by the sport ministry of Campus Crusade for Christ.

Played 30 games making 19 starts mostly as DH... Started both games of the regional as DH against Houston and University of Illinois Chicago… Finished the year hitting .279 with three doubles, one homerun and 14 RBI… First collegiate hit was a homerun against Stephen F. Austin on March 4, a game in which he went 1-3 with three RBI… Against #6 Rice the following day at Dr. Pepper Ballpark in Frisco had the game tying RBI in the 8th that helped lead the Patriots to a 7-6 win… Had two RBI against McNeese on March 8…Had two hits and three RBI against Northern Illinois on March 14 in a 13-2 Patriot win… First double came against Houston Baptist on March 29 where he collected 3 RBI in the game… In the College Station Regional against Houston went 1-3 with a double and a run scored.

All-Independent Second Team… Hit .346 with 8 homeruns and 48 runs driven in… Stole 9 bases in 11 attempts… Led the team in triples with four… First extra-base hit of the year was a homerun against Oakland on March 6 – a solo shot in the second inning… The next day, picked up his second round-tripper of the year as a pinch-hitter in the 6th inning of the first game… In the nightcap of the doubleheader, doubled, singled, and scored two runs to help the Patriots sweep Oakland… Doubled and drove in a run against Central Arkansas at home… Picked up two singles, two RBI, and two runs scored in the 11-2 win over Texas Tech in Lubbock… Went 3 for 5 for two solo homeruns in Game 1 of the Louisiana Monroe series, a 13-11 win at home… Went 2 for 3 the next day against Monroe with another homerun as part of a 14-7 Patriot win… Collected three more hits, including a triple, in the 14-12 win over Louisiana Tech at home… Hit two doubles and a single to drive in two runs to help defeat Louisiana Tech 9-4 in Game 3 of the series… In the five games against teams from Louisiana on the year, went 12 for 22 with 6 RBI, 11 runs scored, 3 homeruns, two doubles, and one triple… Hit a three-run homerun against Rice in Houston on April 1… Singled to center and drove in two runs as part of a 5-4 win over Oral Roberts… Collected three singles and an RBI in the 16-3 win over Baylor at Baylor Ballpark… Doubled, singled, and drove in three runs in a 12-2 win over Northeastern at home… Hit his 7th homerun of the year as part of a 2 for 4 day with 2 RBI against Utah Valley in Game 2 of the series in Orem… Doubled in two runs in an 11-1 win over Northern Colorado at Patriot Field… Doubled, homered, and gathered three more RBI in Game 3 of the series… Singled and drove in Jason Krizan as part of the 11-10 win over Texas A&M at College Station… Went 3 for 4 with 2 RBI in Game 1 of the Utah Valley series at home… Duplicated that day in Game 2 of the Utah Valley series – 3 for 4 with 2 RBI – as the Patriots won 13-4… Doubled, singled, and drove in two runs against TCU at home… Doubled, drove in three, and scored three runs against UTSA at home on May 12… Tripled twice and drove in a run in Game 3 of the Jacksonville series in Florida… Had two hits, both singles, on the final day of the season against Oral Roberts.
