Dallas Baptist University Athletics

Sophomore Jeanelle Stines, from Gilbert, Arizona, is the Athlete Spotlight for the month of March.  Jeanelle transferred to Dallas Baptist in the fall from Indiana State University and has already proven herself to be a valuable asset to the Lady Patriots Tennis team. 

Her first doubles performance of the season, with freshman Lisa Olian, resulted in a win over Mary Hardin Baylor's top doubles team. 

Stines started out her singles season at an astounding 7-0, but suffered her first loss against Nadia Solomon of North Central Texas College , who will be attending the University of Miami next season.  Solomon is ranked nationally as well as NCTC being #4 in the nation among junior colleges.  

Coach Helm says of Stines, “She is a wonderful young lady who we are thrilled to have apart of this program. It is no surprise that she has gone undefeated this season so far because she is a hard working player who always gives 100%."
