Spent 2007 with the Denton Outlaws of the Texas Collegiate League… Was named to the TCL All-Star Game… Spent 2008 summer with the Bourne Braves of the Cape Cod League… Played in 2009 with the LaCrosse Loggers of the Northwoods League where he was voted the Gold Glove recipient for the league at shortstop.

Louisville Slugger Freshman All-American… Started all 56 games at shortstop… Made only 10 errors in 253 chances for a .960 fielding percentage… Hit .338 with 43 RBI, 12 doubles and 43 RBI… 2nd on the team in runs scored… 6 for 6 in stolen base attempts… 1st collegiate hit came in first game on a 4th inning single up the middle against Northwestern State…Went 3 for 4 the following day with 2 doubles and 2 runs driven in… 1 for 2 with two walks and two runs scored as the Patriots finished the sweep of Northwestern… Collected 3 hits and 2 RBI in 14-inning win against St. Johns in Midland… First collegiate stolen base came against UTA on March 1… Also had a hit and an RBI… Had 2 hits against Northwestern in 9-8 Patriot win at home… Collected 2 doubles and 3 RBI in 10-5 win over Toledo… Also had 2 hits and an RBI the following day as Patriots swept a two game set… One hit and an RBI against Missouri at home on March 10… One hit and an RBI against Mississippi State at home four days later in 11-8 Patriot win… First collegiate homerun came against Iowa on March 16 in Fresno, California at the Pepsi/Johnny Quick Classic… Also singled in that game and picked up 3 RBI and 2 runs scored… Went 1 for 1 the next day against Iowa with 3 walks and 3 runs scored… Collected three more hits and three more runs scored in final game of the tournament against Fresno State… Had two hits, a single and a triple, against Oklahoma at Dr. Pepper Ballpark in Frisco… Collected 2 doubles and 3 RBI in the first game in Portland on March 22… 3 for 4 in final game helping DBU win 2 of 3 on the road… 2 for 4 with 2 RBI and 4 runs scored in game against Sam Houston at home… Walked three times in 7-2 loss to Louisiana Tech… Collected two hits against #23 Oklahoma in a 2-1 Patriot loss in Norman… Had two hits against Missouri State on April 14… 2 for 3 with 3 walks and 4 runs scored in a 21-6 victory over UTPA… 3 for 6 with 2 RBI and 4 runs scored in 31-8 drubbing the next day… Hit 2 singles in 11-10 12-inning loss to #11 Texas A&M on May 3… Two for four in 3-0 loss the next day… Collected 3 hits and 2 RBI on the final day of the year, a 9-7 win over New Mexico State in Farmington, New Mexico.
