Maddox Matthews enters his second season as the Director of Baseball Operations at Dallas Baptist University. Matthews is currently a senior at DBU and pursuing a degree in Finance. Before transferring to DBU, Matthews attended Tarrant County College for his freshman and sophomore years.
Matthews grew up in Grand Prairie, Texas, and graduated from Pantego Christian Academy. While at Pantego, Matthews starred as a two-sport athlete in baseball and football. As a three-year starter for the baseball team, Matthews received honors such as the Christian Leadership Award and the team’s Defensive MVP.
Following graduation, Matthews plans to pursue his graduate degree in Business Administration. He lives in Grand Prairie and attends Crossroads Christian church in Mansfield.
