Matthew Rowell took over as the Director of Baseball Operations for the DBU Baseball program in the fall of 2019 after spending the previous two seasons as the Patriots’ student manager. The 2025 season will be Rowell’s eighth year on the DBU Baseball staff, as he oversees day-to-day operations for the entire department including team travel, nutrition, team equipment, official visits, game day operations, and the annual fundraising golf tournament.
As Director of Operations, Rowell has seen 33 players drafted from DBU since 2018, including seven selected in the top five rounds in Jameson Hannah, Burl Carraway, Jimmy Glowenke, Dominic Hamel, Jackson Glenn, Ryan Johnson, and Jaron DeBerry.
He and his wife Kaci live in Dallas and attend Northway Church.
