    Director of Player Development
Trent Blank enters his first season as the Director of Player Development for the DBU Baseball team. Blank comes to DBU from TMI Sports Medicine where he was a Baseball Performance Specialist.  During his time at TMI, Blank served as a Biomechanics Consultant for pitchers and also assisted with offseason baseball player development for players at the Major League, NCAA, high school, and youth levels.
 
Blank starred as a pitcher at Baylor University and helped lead the Bears to both a Big 12 Conference title and the Waco Regional Championship in 2012.  As a senior that year, Blank garnered All-American honors from the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association and Louisville Slugger.  He was also recognized as a semifinalist for both the Dick Howser Award and the NCBWA Pitcher of the Year.
 
Following the 2012 season, Blank was selected in the 30th round of the Major League Draft by the Colorado Rockies and went on to spend three years in the Rockies’ organization.  In 2014, he helped guide the Asheville Tourists to a South Atlantic League title.
 
Blank graduated from Baylor University with a Bachelor of Science in Exercise Physiology and is currently pursuing a Masters of Science in Kinesiology at Dallas Baptist University.  He and his wife Allison attend Watermark Church in Dallas.
