Made 15 appearances, including eight starts … Posted a 1-3 record with a 5.85 ERA in 40 innings … Finished the season fourth on the staff with 44 strikeouts … Began the season as the number three starter in the DBU weekend rotation … Made the first start of his collegiate career on Opening Weekend versus Creighton … In five innings of work, allowed two runs and struck out five against Creighton on February 17 … Tossed four shutout innings without allowing a hit and picked up four strikeouts in his next start versus Mississippi Valley State on February 23 … Made his first appearance out of the bullpen on March 23 at San Jose State and threw 2.1 innings of shutout baseball … Worked one inning of scoreless relief in a 5-4 win at TCU on March 26 … Picked up two strikeouts and allowed one run in 2.1 innings on the hill versus Baylor on April 23 … Threw two shutout innings and collected four strikeouts on April 28 versus UT-San Antonio … Fanned a season high seven batters in five scoreless innings to earn the first win of his career in a 2-0 win over No. 10 Oklahoma on April 30 … Did not allow a run in 2.2 innings of relief at Texas State on May 18.
