Born on September 8, 2002 … Parents are Billy and Paula Russell … His brother, Zane, was a pitcher on the DBU Baseball team from 2020-2023 and was a 10th round pick of the Arizona Diamondbacks … His uncle, Damon Thames, was a two-time All-American at Rice University, the 1999 ABCA National Player of the Year, and was a ninth-round selection of the St. Louis Cardinals … His cousin, Charlie Thames, was a First Team All-American at the University of Texas in 2000 and was a fourth-round pick of the Anaheim Angels … His cousin, Ron Thames, played baseball and football at Sam Houston State University and won two national championships as a coach at Grayson College … Earned his Bachelor’s degree in Business from DBU and is currently pursuing an MBA in Finance … Favorite Bible verse is Psalm 34:6.
