2006 graduate of Marcus High School in Flower Mound… Played for Head Coach Frank Chumbley.

Collegiate Summer Baseball
Spent 2008 with the AIA Fire of the Alaska Collegiate Baseball League… Hit .280 for the summer… Led the league with 31 RBI… Returned to the Fire in 2009 with fellow Patriot, Ryan Millard… The Fairbanks-based team is owned by Athletes in Action, the sport ministry of Campus Crusade for Christ.

2007 Patriots
Played in 30 games as a freshman, starting in 12… Of his twelve hits on the season, six were for extra bases… Saw first collegiate action as a pinch-hitter in the second game of the year against Northwestern State… First collegiate start came in Fort Worth against TCU on February 13… First collegiate RBI was recorded against Rice on February 20 on a ninth inning groundout to second base… First collegiate hit came against Toledo on March 10 on a third inning double… Finished the game with one hit, two runs scored, and an RBI… Went 1 for 2 in a pinch-hitting role against Missouri… Had a pinch-hit single and run scored against Iowa in Fresno at the Pepsi/Johnny Quick Classic… 1 for 2 with a double and an RBI against Portland in a 13-2 Patriot win… Had a pinch hit double and RBI in the 8th inning a 16-3 win over Sam Houston… Hit first collegiate homerun against Louisiana Tech on March 31 in an 11-8 loss in Ruston… Also doubled in that game to finish 2 for 5 with an RBI and a run scored… Singled and got hit against Oklahoma to go 1 for 2 in a 2-1 loss in Norman… Had a single and an RBI against Missouri State in a 5-4 win… Doubled against UT-Pan Am on April 19.

2008 Patriots
Hit .360, second highest on the team… Had 11 doubles, 3 triples, and 3 homeruns in 51 games… Led the team in stolen bases, stealing 16 in 18 attempts… Outstanding defensive outfielder who played much of the season at first base… Also became an excellent leadoff option during the season, ending the year second on the team in on-base percentage… Began the season going 3 for 3 with 3 RBI and a run scored against Missouri State… Went 1 for 2 with an RBI, two runs scored and a stolen base in first game in the leadoff position against Stephen F. Austin… Collected 3 hits and a run scored in Patriot win over #6 Rice in Frisco… Had two hits and two stolen bases in 10-8 in over McNeese… Had only one hit but three RBI after a sac fly and a double in March 13 win over Northern Illinois… Had a hit and two stolen bases a day later in second win over UNI… Hit first homerun of the year, stole a base, and had 3 RBI as the designated hitter against Sam Houston on March 25… Had a pinch-hit walk-off single to score Clay Kelly in the 11th inning in Game 2 of the Houston Baptist series, a 2-1 Patriot win… Had two hits, including a double, 2 RBI and two stolen bases in the final game of the HBU series… Collected 3 hits in an 8-4 loss to Oklahoma in Norman on April 1… Went 4 for 6 with 4 RBI, a double, and a stolen base in final game against Northern Colorado at home… Went 3 for 4 with a double in 2-1 win against Louisiana Monroe on April 8… Had a bases clearing triple in Game 2 against ULM on his way to collecting 4 RBI on the day… Against Baylor on April 16 at home, went 3 for 5 with 3 RBI after collecting two hits in the first inning… Went 2 for 3, got hit by two pitches, and stole a base in a 6-4 10-inning win over Memphis in the first game of a double dip… In maybe his most complete game of the year, went 2 for 2 with a double and a homerun, drove in two, stole a base and scored 5 runs in a 16-2 win at Memphis in the second game of the doubleheader… Collected two hits, and another double, in a 6-4 loss to TCU at home… Went 3 for 7 with 2 RBI and 2 runs scored against Northern Colorado on April 25… Again collected three hits, one triple, in Game 2 of the series… Had two hits, two RBI, and two runs scored against Texas Tech at home… Went 3 for 3 with a stolen base in the final game of the Jacksonville series at home, a 2-0 win… Two doubles and an RBI in 9-8 loss to Texas Tech in Lubbock… Collected three hits, an RBI, and four runs scored in 11-7 win at San Francisco in Game 2… Collected two more hits in final game of that series… Went 3 for 5 in Game 1 of the NCAA Regional against Houston, including a game-tying solo homerun in the 7th inning… Walked, stole a base, and scored the first run of Game 2 against Illinois-Chicago in the regional on his way to a two hit day… Went 5 for 9 overall in the Regional Tournament with an RBI and three runs scored.

2009 Patriots
1st Team All-Independent… ABCA Midwest Region 1st Team… CoSIDA Academic All-American Third Team… All-Independent Academic Team… Tied with Jason Krizan for team lead in doubles with 20… Second among Patriots with 17 homeruns… Third on the team with 56 RBI, mostly from the leadoff position… Hit safely in 44 of the 55 games in which he started… Joined Ryan Goins as only Patriots to start all 55 games… Opened the season with a 16 game hitting streak… Homered in his second at-bat of the season against Binghamton as part of a two-hit, two-RBI game… Had two homeruns and a triple with four RBI in Game 1 against Siena at home… Went 3 for 5 with 4 RBI the next day in Game 2… Homered and drove in two against Rice in Frisco… Went 2 for 3 with 3 RBI to begin the series against Oakland at Patriot Field… Singled and had 2 RBI in Game 2 of the Oakland series… Singled, doubled, homered and stole a base to close out the sweep of Oakland… Hit a solo homerun against Central Arkansas on March 10… Singled, doubled and drove in four as part of a Patriot 11-2 win over Texas Tech in Lubbock… Collected 4 hits in 6 at-bats as the Patriots defeated Louisiana Monroe 13-11 at home… Hit his 9th homerun in the 15th game of the season to drive in two as part of a 14-7 win the next day against ULM… Had two doubles and a homerun to collect 5 RBI against Louisiana Tech on March 26… Hit a solo homerun to help the Patriots to a 4-1 win over Sam Houston at home… Reached base four times against Rice in Houston on two walks and two hit-by-pitches… Went 2 for 3 to help defeat Oral Roberts 5-4 at home on April 6… Walked twice, was hit by pitch, scored two runs and drove in a run without the help of a hit as the Patriots defeated Baylor 16-3 in Waco… Hit two homeruns to drive in three runs to open the series in Orem, Utah… Collected 5 hits in the doubleheader the next day to close out the sweep of Utah Valley… Went 5 for 6 with 3 RBI against Central Arkansas in Conway… Opened the Northern Colorado series with three hits and an RBI… Had two hits, two RBI, and two runs scored as the Patriots defeated Stephen F.
