Emilee Mitchell is in her first year as the Graduate Assistant for the DBU Cheer and STUNT teams. Prior to her arriving at DBU in 2023, she recently graduated Summa Cum Laude from Missouri Baptist University with a Bachelor of Science in Marketing and a Minor in Business Administration. Through her time at Missouri Baptist, she was a part of MBU’s STUNT, All-Girl, and Sideline teams. While being in leadership, she served as the team Chaplain, which included weekly devotions and personal discipleship. She is so excited to continue to have the opportunity to encourage college athletes in their relationship with the Lord.
Mitchell has over 12 years of cheerleading experience and 6 years of coaching experience. She coached at Hi-NRG Gymnastics and in their Cheerleading Program since 2018 at the Chesterfield, Eureka, and Lake Saint Louis locations. During 2020-2022, Mitchell spent her time coaching with Hi-NRG Cheer, creating routines for middle and high school camps and clinics. She also Head Coached the Competitive Cheerleading Program for two years and managed five teams with over 60+ athletes. Each year they continued to expand and grew the cheer program, incorporating recreational cheerleading and pop-up clinics that focused on tumbling techniques and specialty positions.
Mitchell also coached at Westminster Christian Academy for 2021-2023 seasons. During these two seasons, she was able to build a program which allowed the girls to reach their full potential as an athlete, and as they were becoming young women in Christ. The WCA Cheer Program continued to grow over the two years with athletes and skill levels. She was able to assist with JV and Varsity prior to her moving to Texas.
Mitchell is currently pursuing her Master of Arts in Education Ministry Leadership. She will specialize in Women’s Discipleship, College Ministry, and High School Christian Education. “Now to him who is able to do far more abundantly than all that we ask or think, according to the power at work within us, to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, forever and ever.
