Kyle McLeroy enters his second season as a Graduate Assistant Coach for the DBU Men's Basketball team. In McLeroy's first year on staff, the Patriots went 21-9 and punched their ticket to the NCAA Tournament.  Prior to joining the Patriots, Kyle spent three years working in the private sector.
 
A 2011 graduate from Cypress Ranch High School in Cypress, Texas, Kyle began his college playing career at the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor. During the 2011-2012 season, UMHB went 25-3 and was ranked as high as No. 5 in the D3 national poll. Following a redshirt year, Kyle transferred to Sam Houston State University.
 
McLeroy’s two seasons at Sam Houston State were two of the most successful seasons in school history. The Bearkats finished with a record of 24-11 in 2013-2014. The 2014-2015 season saw the team set the school’s NCAA Division I best win mark with a final record of 26-9. During Kyle’s tenure at Sam Houston State, the Bearkats made two trips to the Southland Conference Championship game and two second round appearances in the College Insider Tournament.
 
McLeroy earned his Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Sam Houston State University and is currently pursuing a Master’s in Sports Management. Kyle and his wife, Kimberly, attend Legacy Church in Plano.
