Tylan Dean serves as a Graduate Assistant Coach for DBU Basketball, returning to his alma mater after competing as a student-athlete for the Patriots.

Dean is passionate about developing student-athletes both on and off the court and helping create a culture centered around growth, discipline, and team success. He brings a unique perspective to his role, with experience in player development, recruiting, scouting, and the day-to-day operations of a collegiate basketball program. During his playing career, Dean gained valuable experience at the collegiate level, including recording seven steals in a game, tied for the second-most in DBU history, and continued his basketball career overseas in Nicaragua.

Dean earned a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology with a concentration in Exercise Science from DBU in 2021 and is currently pursuing a Master of Arts in Sport Management. He is a member of Keystone Church in Keller.
