Joshua Aguilar enters his second season as the Assistant Coach for the DBU Men’s Golf program.  Prior to his arrival at DBU, Aguilar was the Head Golf Professional at Rockwall Golf and Athletic Club. There, he developed a golf operation that included the development of the instructional program that includes over 40 junior golfers. Aguilar had great success in growing a cultivating environment for young families in Rockwall and desires to continually grow the community around him.  
 
Aguilar was a four-year letterman on the Men’s Golf team at Dallas Baptist University. During his playing career as a Patriot, the Round Rock, Texas, native was a two-time All-Heartland Conference selection and helped guide DBU to a three Heartland titles in 2013, 2015, and 2016.  Aguilar was also a two-time All-Heartland Conference selection and became the first male golfer in school history to advance to the NCAA National Championships in 2015.  Aguilar also helped lead the Patriots back to the national stage as a senior in 2016, where DBU placed 10th at the National Championships in Denver, Colorado. 
 
Aguilar capped off his playing career in 2016 as the recipient of the President's Patriot Award, recognizing him for his outstanding achievement in athletics, academics, and in the field of ministry.
 
He graduated in 2017 with a Masters in Counseling and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology. Joshua and his wife, Shelby, reside in Richardson, Texas.
