Chip Dutchik enters his fifth season as the Head Men’s Soccer Coach at Dallas Baptist University. In 2017, Dutchik guided the Patriots to a seven-win season, their second highest win total since the soccer program returned to the DBU campus in 2012.
In his first season at the helm for the Patriots in 2015, Dutchick led DBU to the NCCAA Central Regional title and a trip to the NCCAA National Tournament in Kissimmee, Florida.
Dutchik came to DBU after coaching at Lynn University in Boca Raton, Florida, where he was the Head Women’s Soccer Coach from 2009-2014. Following a 12-year absence from the NCAA Tournament, Dutchik helped guide Lynn to the postseason and a trip to the Sweet 16 in 2011.
Dutchik began his collegiate career as a student-athlete at Missouri Baptist University, where he was a three-year varsity captain and received Player of the Year honors in 2002. After completing his degree, he remained at Missouri Baptist as the Men's Assistant Coach & Recruiting Coordinator. In his time with the Spartans, Dutchik recruited and coached three players that have since moved on to professional soccer careers; most notably is Lawrence Olum, a member of the Kenyan National Team and former MLS Cup Champion with Sporting Kansas City.
Before leaving Missouri Baptist, Dutchik spent a year as the Head Women's Soccer Coach in 2005, guiding the program to its first American Midwest Conference Tournament title and advancing the NAIA regionals. With a winning record and a track record of success in recruiting, Dutchik transitioned to NCAA Division I soccer in 2006 as the Assistant Coach & Recruiting Coordinator at Missouri State University. During his three year tenure at MSU, Dutchik’s team reached the postseason each year and he received both regional and national recognition for having the number one recruiting class in the Missouri Valley Conference.
Dutchik is a graduate of Missouri Baptist University with a bachelor's degree in Kinesiology. In addition to his 13 years of college coaching experience, Chip has been involved in multiple facets of coaching through the years. Dutchik was on staff with the Mark Krikorian Soccer Academy at Florida State University and the Missouri State Soccer School. He was also on staff as a trainer with Elite FT as an individual and team trainer and was a U15 boys coach for the St. Louis Scott Gallagher Soccer Club.
Dutchik and his wife, Leah, have two daughters, Madeline and Evelynn, and a son, Sheridan. The Dutchik’s live in Frisco, Texas, and attend First Baptist Church Frisco where they lead a Life Group and Sunday School class for young married couples.
