Charlie Chafin

Charlie Chafin enters his first season as a Graduate Assistant coach for the Patriot Women’s Soccer team.  Chafin is originally from St. Louis, Missouri, and attended Fontbonne University in his hometown. 

As a four year starter on the Men’s Soccer team, Chafin earned All-St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Team recognition in both 2011 & 2012.  He was also named a team captain during both his junior and senior seasons.  Following his senior year, Chafin was honored with the Angelo Simaku Award, recognizing his dedication to the Men’s Soccer team.  During his redshirt year in 2010, he worked as a member of the team’s coaching staff.
 
Outside of his time at Fontbonne University, Chafin remained involved with the game of soccer.  In 2011, he played for the St. Louis Lions of the USL Premier Development League.  From 2011-2013, he served as the technical trainer for the WC St. Louis Soccer Club and in 2012, Chaffin assisted on the soccer staff at Camp Winadu in Pittsfield, Massachusetts.
 
Chafin graduated in December 2012, with a Bachelor degree in Sports Management from Fontbonne University.  He is currently pursuing a Master of Arts in Sports Management at Dallas Baptist University.
 
Chafin resides in Arlington and is actively involved as a member of The Village Church in Fort Worth.
