Dallas Baptist University Athletics

Haley Corbell is the Athlete Spolight for the month of November.  Haley transferred to play for the Lady Patriots in the fall of 2008 as a red shirt from Texas Tech University.  She grew up in The Colony, Texas, where she played for the state championship with The Colony High school soccer team.

Haley began to make an immediate impact at Dallas Baptist University  as she quickly won the starting position in the goal.  Her experience at the Division I level has helped her to develop a confidence not often seen in a first year starter.  

The confidence she has is reflected in the entire Lady Patriot defense, as they feel comfortable with her in the net. Haley's size, quickness, and steady hands have secured five shutouts for the team this year as well as 8 wins.  She has recorded a 78.3% saves percentage with 72 total saves in regular season competition.

Haley's play as a freshman has laid the foundation for the future success of this program.  She is one of the best goalkeepers in the conference and we are very happy to have her.
