Macarena Sedano Acosta begins her first year as a Graduate Student Assistant Coach for the DBU Women’s Tennis team. During her collegiate career, Sedano Acosta was a two-time First Team All-Great American Conference selection at Arkansas Tech, playing in the No. 1 lineup for both singles and doubles. She was also ranked No. 5 by the ITA in doubles action in the Central Region and was tabbed the No. 18 player in singles play in the region.
Born in Buenos Aires, Argentina, Sedano Acosta lived there until she was seven years old and then moved to Dublin, Ireland where she lived for six years, training at a top tennis academy. She then lived in Cadiz, Spain, for six years, where she taught at the Vista Hermosa Club.
Sedano Acosta is currently pursuing a Masters in Sports Management at DBU. She is an active member at One Community Church in Plano, volunteering with their compassion team.
