Laurel Myer

Laurel Myer is in her fourth year as Assistant Coach for the DBU Cross Country and Track & Field teams. At the collegiate level, Myer was voted two-time team captain her junior and senior seasons. She was a member of the 2017 Heartland Conference Champion team and was a qualifier for the NCCAA National Outdoor Track Meet in the steeplechase in 2017. Myer was also awarded the DBU Athletics Timothy Award her senior year. 
 
In the 2021-2022 season, Myer assisted Head Coach Jacob Phillips in leading the DBU Cross Country women’s team to another Lone Star Conference Championship title in Cross Country along with a trip back to the NCAA DII Cross Country National Championships where the women’s team placed  17th. 
 
In the 2022-2023 season, Myer assisted Head Coach Jacob Phillips in leading the DBU Cross Country women’s team to another Lone Star Conference Championship title in Cross Country along with a trip back to the NCAA DII Cross Country National Championships where the women’s team placed 14th. 
 
In the 2023-2024 season, Myer assisted Head Coach Jacob Phillips in leading the DBU Cross Country women’s team back to the NCAA DII Cross Country National Championships where the women’s team placed  25th. 
 
Myer graduated from Dallas Baptist University in 2020 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Camp & Sport Leadership with a minor in Spanish. After graduation from DBU, Myer attended the Kanakuk Institute, a post-graduate leadership development program providing Biblical and theological training.
