Kaycie Cartwright enters her fourth year as the Assistant Coach for the DBU Women's Volleyball team after serving as a setter for the Lady Patriots from 2011-2015 and then the Graduate Student Assistant Coach for the 2016 season. During her time at DBU, Cartwright received multiple athletic and academic honors, including multiple Heartland Conference Setter of the Week and NCCAA Academic awards, along with DBU academic and athletic awards.
Cartwright was born and raised in Red Oak, Texas, where she started and set as a four-year letterman at Red Oak High School. She went on to graduate with a Bachelors of Science in Criminal Justice and Psychology from Dallas Baptist University and a Masters of Arts in Teaching, while pursuing her teaching certificate in Secondary Mathematics.
Cartwright serves at First Baptist Church Red Oak with her husband, Dillon and they both host bible studies at their CrossFit gym as well. Kaycie and Dillon are also expecting their first child, a baby boy in December 2020.
