Lauren Pavloske began her collegiate career at Dallas Baptist in 2010. Over the course of two seasons, she competed in 124 sets and 40 matches as a defensive specialist. In her second year as a Lady Patriot, however, Pavloske was sidelined by nerve damage in her back and since then has transitioned into a role as the team’s student manager.
Prior to coming to DBU, Pavloske was a standout volleyball player at Montgomery High School, near Houston. In her four years as on the varsity squad, Pavloske helped guide her team to three playoff appearances, including a trip to the Regional Finals in 2009.
Following her senior season, she was named to the Class 4A All-State team as a Libero. She also received All-Montgomery County Defensive Player of the Year honors in 2009. In both her sophomore and junior seasons, Pavloske was tabbed as the All-District Defensive Player of the Year. During her time at Montgomery High School, Pavloske was also named as the Houston Chronicle Female Athlete of the Week.
In addition to her accolades at Montgomery High School, Pavloske also played a key role with her club team, the Willowbrook Asics. In 2005, her 13U squad won the Junior Olympics and three years later her team finished in 10th place in the open division at the Junior Olympics.
Pavloske plans to graduate in May, 2014 with a Bachelor degree in Kinesiology and a minor in Psychology. As the team’s student manger, she assists with all aspects of the program under Lady Patriot’s head coach Cathy Kokel. Following graduation, Pavloske aspires to coach volleyball at either the high school or collegiate level.
