Garnered First Team Academic All-Big 12 honors for the second straight year … Played in 10 matches and 24 sets … Tallied 17 digs and four service aces.

2020 (REDSHIRT SOPHOMORE - BAYLOR)
Named a First Team Academic All-Big 12 selection … One of three players to play in all 104 sets in 2020-21 … Totaled 230 digs (2.21 per set) as defensive specialist with 35 assists, 15 aces, three kills and one block … Recorded double-digit digs in eight matches … Made collegiate debut Kansas (9/25) with 10 digs, one assist and one ace … Collected season-best four aces at No. 1 Texas (11/6) … Notched career-high 15 digs at Houston (3/18).

2019 (REDSHIRT FRESHMAN - BAYLOR)
Did not play in any matches … Part of a Baylor team that won the Big 12 Championship and reached the NCAA National Semifinals … Helped Baylor achieve the program’s first-ever No. 1 AVCA national ranking and the No. 1 overall seed in the NCAA Tournament.
 
2018 (FRESHMAN - BAYLOR)
Took a redshirt year in her first season at Baylor.

HIGH SCHOOL
Lettered all four years at Cypress Ridge High School … Coached by Amanda Quinlan … Voted VYPE NW Houston Player of the Year in 2017… Also named Most Valuable Hitter by VYPE in the same season … Earned First Team All-District honors all four years of her prep career … Was named to the Texas Association of Volleyball Coaches All-Star Team in 2017 … Named the District 17-6A Attacker of the Year … Selected as a PrepVolleyball.com “Next 150” recruit … Earned Academic All-District four times and graduated magna cum laude … Also spent time as a volunteer at the MET Church in Cypress, Reach Fest for Life, Peer Assistance and Leadership (PALS) program and FCA … Volunteered with high school team following Hurricane Harvey … Played club volleyball for the Texas Tornadoes and earned a bronze medal in the Open Division Girls Junior National Championship her junior and senior seasons.

Born on September 20, 1999 … Parents are Jon and Monica Van Slate … Earned her Bachelor’s degree in Journalism from Baylor University and is currently pursuing an MBA … Favorite Bible verse is Ephesians 3:16-20.
