Andrew Price

Andrew Price is in his ninth season on the Track & Field coaching staff and serves as the team’s Associate Head Coach with an emphasis on sprinting and field events. 
 
During the 2023 season, the Patriots produced NCAA qualifying marks in the men’s 4x100 and 4x400 meter relays, the 60 meter and the 200 meters.

In 2022, Price saw his first Lone Star Conference Champion in Jared Gilley who individually qualified for the NCAA Indoor and Outdoor national championships. During the indoor season he was the seventh ranked male in Division II, and outdoors ran a 1:49.24 which bettered his school record.

In 2019 the track team transitioned to the Lone Star Conference, which is the most prestigious conference in the country for sprints. Under Price’s leadership, he has produce three medalists from Long Jump to 800 as well as a handful of All-Lone Star Conference selections covering sprints, hurdles, and relays.

During the 2017-2018 track seasons, the Patriots competed in the NCCAA where Price coached nine conference champions during that two-year stint. The most notable performance was the men’s school record of 3:13.40 in the 1600m relay.

During his collegiate career, Price ran as a member of the Patriot Track and Field Team from 2009 - 2014, and graduated from Dallas Baptist University with his Bachelor of Arts in Biblical Studies in May 2013.  He completed his Master of Arts Degree in Theological Studies in May of 2015.

Born in League City, Texas, Price spent his most formidable years in The Woodlands, Texas, where he graduated from College Park High School in 2009.  Price felt a call to ministry at the age of 17, and fulfills that call through coaching at DBU.  He sees his Track Team as his flock that he ministers to on a daily basis.
 
Price married his wife, Julie Ann Price, a former Patriot distance runner and DBU graduate, in November 2014.  They currently reside in Coppell, Texas, and are members of The Door Church.
