Grant Brady is in his first year as the Head Coach for the Esports team at DBU. Before joining DBU, Brady honed his coaching skills at Dallas College – Brookhaven, leading their League of Legends and Super Smash Bros. teams. He also served as the Assistant Director of Esports at Texas Wesleyan University.
An alumnus of Abilene Christian University, Brady was a co-founder of their esports program and captained the League of Legends team. He graduated in 2020 with a degree in Youth and Family Ministry and a minor in Digital Entertainment Technology, a background that underscores his unique coaching philosophy of blending competitive excellence with personal growth.
In his inaugural year at DBU, Brady made an immediate impact, guiding the Patriots to an impressive ECAC National Championship in NBA2K25 during the fall semester. Under his leadership, all DBU esports teams successfully qualified for playoffs, a testament to his strategic vision and coaching prowess.
Beyond the collegiate level, Brady has also contributed to the growth of youth esports, holding roles as League Commissioner and Head Coach for "XP League Frisco." This experience highlights his commitment to nurturing talent and developing the next generation of esports athletes.
Brady is deeply committed to integrating DBU's Christ-centered values into the esports program, fostering an environment where students can thrive both competitively and personally.
