Jacob Witkowski is starting his fourth season as the Director of Bass Fishing Operations for the Dallas Baptist University bass team. Witkowski finished his undergraduate degree at DBU in 2023, earning a BBA in Marketing, and has been a member of the bass team since 2019.
Witkowski has just completed his fifth and final season of collegiate bass fishing, traveling the country with the DBU team and competing in tournaments across more than 25 states. He has been involved in competitive tournament fishing for nearly 10 years, first starting a high school bass team club and leading it for 4 years. By his senior year in high school, Witkowski was ranked the #1 angler in the country by Top Tier Fishing and independently ranked #1 through Bass IQ.
Witkowski's notable career includes many high finishes, highlighted by a win at the 2022 Major League Fishing Western Conference Qualifier at Lake Havasu in Arizona, which marked the first and only major conference win for the DBU bass team.
Under Witkowski's leadership over the past 4 years, the DBU bass team has consistently finished in the top 15 schools nationally and continues to break records. His extensive experience, strategic mind, and passion for developing young anglers have been instrumental in elevating the program.
Currently, Witkowski is pursuing a Master of Business Administration degree with a focus on Executive Leadership.Â
