Kim English is the Assistant Director of Student Athlete Services for Undergraduate Admissions at DBU. She is happy to give guidance to any prospective student athletes interested in applying to Dallas Baptist University. She assists our athletic and coaching staff by keeping them updated on the admission status of their recruits. She is the sole Admissions contact and Academic Advisor for our DBU Patriots Baseball and Women’s Soccer Team. She also works with professional baseball players that come back to DBU finish their degree.
Kim first began working at Dallas Baptist University with Sodexo in 2009. She was the Catering Director serving all Special Events on campus for 5 years. Later, after 2 years of managing a successful corporate catering business, she felt that the Lord was calling her back to DBU. She then served as Transfer Director in Undergraduate Admissions from 2018-2019, prior to her role as Assistant Director of Student Athlete Services.
Aside from working with Student Athletes for her full-time job, Kim's passion for sports also carries into her volunteer positions. She coaches a high school select softball team in the DFW area, serving as the team manager. Â Kim also serves as a sponsor of Alpha Epsilon Chi, a sorority on campus. Each Greek Life Organization on-campus has a designated service, and the AEX Diamond Belles are committed to serving DBU Athletics in a variety of ways.
Kim attended college in her hometown of Natchitoches, Louisiana and graduated from Northwestern State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration with a Pre-Law minor. She attended NSU on a Color Guard/Twirling scholarship, and post-graduation, became the Color Guard Director. During her time at NSU, she also joined the Rowing Team as one of its first-ever members and rowed competitively for two years. She graduated with a Master of Arts in Sports Management from Dallas Baptist University.
Kim, her husband, Michael English, and their daughter, Rylie reside in Farmers Branch, Texas, and attend church in Euless, Texas.
