Dallas Baptist University Athletics

Luke Horton is in his first year as an Assistant Athletic Trainer at Dallas Baptist University. Horton works primarily with the Baseball team at DBU.

  

Horton graduated from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte in December 2020. He received his Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science and earned his Master of Science in Athletic Training in May 2023. While at Charlotte, Horton gained sports medicine experience working with the football team at UNC Charlotte and soccer with Charlotte FC. Following graduation, Horton worked with Wake Forest baseball for the 2023 season. Horton worked in 2024 as a seasonal athletic trainer intern with the University of Virginia baseball team.

Horton is an active member of the National Athletic Trainers’ Association and is a certified L-1 Dry Needling Provider through Structure and Function. 

  

Horton resides in Mansfield, Texas, and is a member of Creekwood Church.
