Matt Duce

Matt Duce is in his third year as Director of Athletics at Dallas Baptist University, overseeing 21 sports programs, including 12 NCAA teams. Under his leadership, DBU has continued its tradition of national excellence: the Patriot Baseball program remains one of only five teams in the nation to reach the NCAA Division I postseason in each of the last 11 years, while Women’s Golf claimed its third NCAA Division II National Championship in 2025.

Since 2014, DBU Athletics has captured 56 conference championships, made 32 NCAA Division II National Championship appearances, and advanced to the NCAA DII Final Four in Men’s Basketball and Women’s Soccer. The DBU Cheer and Dance programs have also secured five NCA/NDA National Championships.

During his previous four years at Dallas Baptist University, Duce has also served as the Assistant to the Chancellor, Project Manager for DBU's Graduate School, Director of Alumni Affairs for University Advancement, and was the Director of Graduate Recruitment.

A four-year standout catcher for DBU Baseball, Duce is the winningest player in program history with 174 career victories and was selected twice in the Major League Baseball Draft.

Duce earned his Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology and Exercise Science and his MBA from Dallas Baptist University. He is married to Jaycee Duce, a fellow DBU alumna who holds both a Bachelor of Arts in Public Relations and an MBA in Marketing. Together, they attend Park Cities Baptist Church.
