Schelly Stone is in her first year as the Assistant Director of Athletics for Digital Media & Creative Services for DBU Athletics.
Prior, she was a Creative Studio Specialist at Southwest Airlines, specializing in videography and photography. Her efforts included three external Recruitment Marketing campaigns and photographing Southwest’s social and digital advertisements. She also supplemented and created the cover image for Southwest’s 2024 One Report, the company’s annual environmental corporate responsibility report.
She served Dallas Baptist University Athletics for the first time from 2019-2021 as a Graduate Assistant Videographer. She created the department’s first docuseries, Find A Way, an eight-part episodic documentary highlighting DBU Baseball’s historic 2021 season as they made a run to the Super Regionals. Concurrently, she earned her Master of Education in Higher Education Administration with a concentration in Student Affairs from Dallas Baptist University, graduating in 2021.
She graduated from the University of Texas at Austin with a degree in Radio-Television-Film (B.S. '17) as one of six declared Outstanding Graduates in the Moody College of Communication. Her most recent professional accomplishments include Find A Way and directing and editing Mott, a short-form documentary. Mott was an Official 2018 SXSW Selection in the UT RTF Longhorn Denius Film Showcase. Mott was also an Official 2018 BAFTA Student Film Nomination.
