Callie Taylor is in her eighth year as the Head Cheer and STUNT Coach at DBU. In 2019, Taylor started the STUNT program at Dallas Baptist University. Taylor is also in her seventh year as the Spirit Coordinator as she developed and designed the Blue Brigade Leaders. Taylor oversees the DBU Drumline as well as the Patriot man mascot.
 
Taylor has captured eight national championships with DBU Cheer during her tenure while leading the Patriots to its first title in 2021. The Patriots have captured five consecutive Intermediate Division II All-Girl titles, and back-to-back titles in Gameday Division II. In 2025, DBU posted the highest score amongst all teams in all divisions (Junior College-Division 1) with a 95.44.
 
The 2025 Intermediate team posted a 97.61 and finished in Daytona Beach, FL, with the highest Intermediate All-Girl score across all divisions.
 
In 2021, the DBU Cheer team won their first ever NCA Collegiate National title in Intermediate All Girl Division II. This year marked the 10th anniversary of the program competing at NCA Nationals. Since then, the DBU intermediate team has won back-to-back-to-back National Championships. In 2023, Taylor led two teams to NCA Nationals and won in both divisions, including a game day Spirit Rally division.
 
From 2021-2025, Taylor has led DBU to five straight appearances in the STUNT National Championships. In 2025, the Patriots finished the season 8-0 in the regular season and won back-to-back Lone Star Conference Championships. In 2023, DBU finished the season ranked in the top three in the nation. Taylor has a career record of 48-22, a winning percentage of 68 percent.
 
Taylor was named the 2023 College STUNT Coaches Association Division II Coach of the Year. In 2024 and 2025, Taylor’s staff was named Coaching Staff of the Year by the LSC.
 
Prior to her arriving at DBU in 2018, Callie has over 14 years of cheerleading experience which includes four years of high school cheer, eight years of competitive cheer, and served as the all-girl captain at the University of North Texas, where she was a captain and member of the nationally ranked cheerleading team. During the 2017-2018 season, Taylor spent her time coaching at Champion Cheer, while also giving private lessons across DFW. Taylor graduated from the University of North Texas with a Bachelor of Science in Merchandising and a minor in Marketing. Taylor graduated from Dallas Baptist University with a Masters of Arts in Sport Management.
