Bryan Baumann and Braxton Adamson combined for 10 three-pointers Saturday afternoon, as the Dallas Baptist Patriots picked up a 94-74 victory over Lincoln University. The win moves the Patriots to 10-6 overall, and 4-2 in Heartland Conference play.

The Patriots took control of the game early, opening up with five three-pointers in the first six minutes. Adamson hit his first three-pointer less than two minutes into the game, and Baumann quickly followed with back-to-back treys on the next two possessions. Only three minutes went by before the two players connected again from behind the arc, giving DBU a 17-8 lead. The Patriots outscored the Blue Tigers by 16 in the first half and took a 43-27 lead into halftime.

The second half was much more of the same as another Adamson three at the 12:18 mark gave the Patriots their biggest lead of the afternoon, 73-43. Mike Andrews and Joseph Carrington capped the game off with a pair of baskets, giving Dallas Baptist the 94-74 win, their largest margin of victory this season.

Baumann led the way for the Patriots with 24 points and seven rebounds, while Adamson finished with 18. Heath Wiechman turned in his best performance of the season with 15 points and five rebounds.

“This was a great team effort for us. We had a lot of players step up, including some younger guys who gained some valuable experience by playing some significant minutes,” Head Coach Blake Flickner said. “I'm very proud of how unselfish we played today, and that is why we were able to find open shots.”
