The Dallas Baptist Patriot Baseball Team had no trouble with the visiting Cougars from Lafayette College on Thursday evening, as they came away with a 12-5 win. The win moves the Patriots to 11-7 on the season.

Aaron Gilbreath picked the win for the Patriots, going five innings, allowing four runs on nine hits, and striking out three.
DBU scored one run in the bottom of the first on a RBI double by Senior

Tyler Robbins across the plate. However, the Leopards spread out four runs over the first two innings to take an early 4-1 lead.
The Patriots answered with four runs in the bottom of the third. Junior
Tyler Robbins doubled to left field and then advanced to third on a wild pitch for the Patriots. Meiners singled to score Robbins, and after Junior
Jason Krizan drew a walk, Freshman
Duncan McAlpine cleared the bases with a three run homerun, making it a 5-4 lead for the Patriots.
After a scoreless fourth, the Patriots tacked on another run in the bottom of the fifth, and two more in the sixth to take an 8-4 lead.
The Leopards made it an 8-5 game in the seventh, but DBU used five hits to cap off the evening with four more runs for the 12-5 win.
The Patriots welcome the Leopards back to Patriot Field tomorrow, for a doubleheader set to begin at 3:00 p.m.
