After defeating the University of Washington in the first two games of the series, the Dallas Baptist Patriot Baseball Team dropped Saturday afternoon's game against the Huskies by the score of 1-0. Washington avoids the sweep and drops DBU to 10-6 on the season. With the loss, the Patriots conclude their five-game road stand in Washington, having split a two-game series with Washington State earlier in the week.
DBU struggled at the plate against the Huskies on Saturday, only picking up two hits on the afternoon. Washington starter Jacob Clem pitched a complete game for the Huskies, giving up two hits and striking out eight batters.
The lone run of the game came in the bottom of the second off the bat of Will Sparks. Chase Anselment led off the inning with a double and later advanced to third off a Husky single. Sparks pushed Anselment across the plate with his RBI single to left field, scoring the only run of the night.

Ryan Behmanesh picked up the only two hits for the Patriots. Krizan's single came in the top of the second inning, while Behmanesh's single came in the seventh.

Brandon Williamson was stuck with the loss for the Patriots after pitching eight innings, only allowing one run off seven hits, and striking out five.
Up next for the Patriots is a March 16 matchup against the 19th-ranked Owls from Rice University. Wednesday's game at Reckling Park in Houston is scheduled to begin at 6:30 p.m.
