BACK ON THE HARDWOOD – The Dallas Baptist Men's Basketball Team returns to the friendly confines of the Burg Center for a Saturday night match-up against Mid-America Christian. This contest will be Homecoming for the Patriots, as the team looks to bounce back after consecutive road losses. Tip-off is slated for 7 pm, with a tailgate party happening prior to the game at 4:30, among other Homecoming festivities.

LAST OUTING – It was a tough defeat for DBU (1-3) after holding an unblemished Texas A&M-Commerce that was averaging 93 points at bay most of the night. The Patriots held a 38-34 lead at halftime and would build the advantage by as many as 13 points in the second half.

TAMC finally rallied and pulled within one point with 7:26 remaining following a 12-0 run. Still, after the Patriots surrendered the lead and dropped behind five with 3:25 left, they answered back with a 5-0 run. Redshirt sophomore Jonathan Perry put DBU in front for the final time, completing a three-point play at the free throw line with 1:53 still to finish the game.

Perry led the Patriots again, posting his third game-high on the campaign with 21 points. Sophomore Charles Allen contributed a solid game with 12, and redshirt freshman, Myles Johnson, delivered 10.

PERRY LEADS SQUAD – DBU's returning leading scorer is the sophomore out of Kerrville, Texas, who finished second on the team last season averaging 11.2 points per game (ppg). The lone player in front of him was graduate Nick Fox, and Perry has since taken on the role expected of him through the duo contests.

The forward is shooting 45-percent (23-for-51) through four games, while averaging 20.5 ppg. Perry is the only player to reach double-figures in all contests through the quartet of a young season for DBU.

A large portion of the sophomore's success has occurred at the free throw line, with Perry shooting 32-for-36 to lead to an 88.9 shooting percentage. This includes a perfect 15-for-15 in the season opener versus East Texas Baptist University.

SCOUTING MID-AMERICA CHRISTIAN – The Evangels (3-1) have jumped out to an exciting start, winning their first three and being involved in dramatic finishes the past pair of contests. MACU's lone loss came in a two-point overtime game, and the last outing concluded in a one-point victory at Arkansas Tech University.

Jarius Wilson was the hero, hitting a clutch three-pointer with six seconds remaining to lift the Evangels.  His game-winner was part of the final seven points posted by MACU, which occurred after 1:33 remained in the contest.

Semar Farris notched a team-high 17 points, while Angelo Lewis finished with 16. Josh Smith and Wilson added 15 and 14 points, respectively.
Saturday's contest counts as an exhibition for the NAIA program, as MACU faces back-to-back Division II schools during this road ledger.

The last time these programs met was during the 2010-11 season in the NCCAA Regional Championship. The Patriots prevailed 81-73 to advance to the NCCAA National Tournament, where they eventually notched that title as well.

WORTH NOTING
The Patriots have turned the ball over 53 times total, averaging 13.3 per game, while opponents have committed 71 at a 16.8 clip.
Five of the next six contests for DBU are at the Burg Center.
Eight year Head Coach, Blake Flickner sits at 125 career wins.

UPCOMING SCHEDULE – Dallas Baptist plays next on November 26th and will tip-off at 7 pm versus Southeastern Oklahoma State.
