Men's Soccer Looks to Push Momentum Saturday

MEMPHIS, Tenn.- The Dallas Baptist men's soccer team opened its six game road stretch with an impressive victory over Harding on Thursday and hopes to extend streak on Saturday. The Patriots travel to take on Christian Brothers at 1pm.

Senior Marcos Barrientos provided the difference late in the contest, punching in the go-ahead goal with less than ten minutes in the game. His netter came minutes after Harding tied the game for the first time since late in the first half.

Freshman Riley Alvey, and junior David Balyeat also tallied goals for the Patriots. Bayleat, leading scorer last season for DBU, also recorded an assist on the Alvey score. The Patriots outshot HU 17-8.

Head Coach, Chris Crawford, expects another challenge on Saturday. "Christian Brothers is a well-disciplined squad and will be a great test for our guys," Crawford stated.

The Bucs were shut-out in their season opener 3-0. They did outshoot their opponent 16-10 and five to four shots on goal, but couldn't land a ball in the net.
