DBU Bounces Back Versus Southern Arkansas

THE RUNDOWN
The DBU Volleyball team opened up day two of the A&M-Commerce Classic with a 3-0 sweep against the Southern Arkansas Lady Muleriders. Krystal Wunderlich led the Lady Patriots in kills with 10; while Kaycie Bird had a match high 39 assists.

Early in the first set things would remain rather close between DBU and SAU. With the score tied 6-6 Southern Arkansas would go on a four point run to push the lead to 10-6. As the set went on DBU would steadily climb back to try and gain the lead from the Lady Muleriders. With the score 17-12 in SAU's favor the Lady Patriots would go on an amazing 13-3 run led by Krystal Wunderlich and Sidnee Jo Fitzpatrick that would end the set 25-20.

Despite DBU closing out the second set 25-20 the same score as the first, there was no comeback needed as the Lady Patriots were mostly in control during the set only allowing the Lady Muleriders to take the lead once.  In the third set SAU tried to keep the score close but it was to little avail as DBU won the set 25-21, closing the match.
