Box Score THE LEADThe Dallas Baptist Men's Basketball Team put on an offensive clinic as they defeated the University of Texas-Permian Basin Falcons, 98-90 at The Burg Center. The Patriots would have four players in double figures in the victory and the win improves DBU's record to 9-4 on the season, 3-2 in Heartland Conference play.

Myles Johnson led all scorers with 26 points, while
Tim Simmons recorded his first career double-double as a Patriot, scoring 20 points and adding 10 rebounds. Also finishing in double figure points would be
Shannon Lilly with 24 and
Jonathan Perry with 13.
In the first half despite surges from UTPB, DBU was able to keep the Falcons at bay as they kept up with the frenetic scoring of the game by forcing turnovers and having the hot hand from behind the arc. The Patriots would shoot for 52% in three point percentage as they headed into the intermission with a 49-40 lead.
As the second half progressed, the Falcons, led by Stephan Thompson's 18 points, would start to close the gap, as UTPB pulled to within three points late in the half, 86-83.
The Patriots would respond and close the hopes on a Falcons rally, as they received two big three pointers by Johnson and Lilly and go on to score seven straight points to extend their lead to, 93-83. DBU would close the game with a victory with the final score of 98-90.
