KICKOFF
Dallas Baptist University finished 0-2 against ranked teams last week after a 7-0 loss to No. 3 Midwestern State in Wichita Falls, Texas, on Saturday, October 17. Senior forward Albert Rodriguez registered a hat trick in the match to increase his season total to 11.
 
Freshman midfielder Riley Unger recorded four shots and both shots on goal for the Patriots. Junior goalkeeper Mason Stringer made three saves, and sophomore goalkeeper Sean Bouland made two saves.
 
DBU returns to Patriot Soccer Field after the 0-3 road trip to face Heartland Conference opponent Lubbock Christian on Thursday, October 22, at Noon.
 
CHASING PROGRAM RECORD WIN TOTAL
The Patriots will try to tie the young program's record for single-season wins (6) from 2013. DBU has four home games remaining on the schedule to reach the milestone.
 
STRINGER IN NATIONAL TOP 50
Mason Stringer continues to be among the nation's elite goalkeepers, ranking 37^th in Division II in saves per game (5.18) and 43^rd in total saves (57). Stringer ranks second in the Heartland Conference in saves per game.
 
SCOUTING THE CHAPS
Lubbock Christian was the only speedbump for No. 3 Midwestern State, who battled to a 2-2 draw with the Chaps, but LCU has lost their last three Heartland Conference matches to Rogers State, Oklahoma Christian and Newman. DBU is 2-1 against those three schools.  
 
Sophomore midfielder Tommy Cameron-Fogarty has been the key piece to the Chaps' offense, registering 14 points on five goals and four assists.
 
SERIES HISTORY
DBU is 0-2-0 all-time against Lubbock Christian and lost last year's meeting in the regular season finale by a score of 3-2 in extra time.
